Back to seatbelts Forward to roof Since beneath the sealing rubbers of the pane water can accumulate, I coated the frameworks before the installation well with grease, in order to prevent the corrosion here. A further positive effect is that the installation is more easy. The installation of the pane is to be demonstrated here by the example of the 'triangle window' on the driver's side. First the sealing rubber is attached to the pane. Now a thicker cord or a cable is put into the groove where the framework is fixed. The loose ends of the cord should be on the lower side of the pane and overlap a little. Now the lower side of the pane is pressed from the outside on the lower edge of the framework, whereby the loose ends of the cord hang in the car interior. While one person presses the pane from the outside sightly to the framework, the other one pulls the sealing rubber with the help of the cord in the car interior... ...alternating at both ends of the cord, until the pane is completely inside.
